5 Content Themes

ICF Converge 2023 features five content themes to guide your learning experiences throughout the conference. Choose sessions from one theme, or mix and match sessions across themes.

Converge 23 themes:

Expand and diversify your coaching business. This theme will explore topics like defining or refining your brand, expanding your reach through social media, diversifying your target audience, and more.
Explore evidence-based practices and theories that underpin coaching. This theme will explore topics like coaching education best practices, research studies, developing a coaching culture, and more.
Envision the future through examples of innovation, creativity, and impact. This theme will explore topics like forecasting trends, models of innovation, social impact, and more.
Align your coaching practice with established core competencies. This theme will explore topics like coaching core competencies, credentials and standards, coaching ethics, and more.
Learn new skills and techniques that elevate your expertise. This theme will explore topics like skill development, mentor training, leadership development, coaching supervision, and more.

6 Session Types

Converge 23 will offer various types of sessions to maximize your learning and networking opportunities. Each session type can correspond with any of the five content themes.

The session types are:

Keynote sessions are intended to inspire you to be curious and motivate you to act on what you learn. Converge 23 will have two keynote sessions — opening and closing.
Signature talks will feature author perspectives on wide-ranging topics that impact the coaching community. Each Signature talk is a 60-minute session.
Coaching spotlights will feature coaches from around the world as they share their unique insights on coaching trends and innovations.
Pre-conference workshops are additional experiential learning opportunities happening Wednesday, August 23. These three-hour workshops take an in-depth look at contemporary topics. Add on a pre-conference workshop during online registration. Each workshop is eligible for 3 CCE units.
90-minute workshops offer an extended time frame for a deeper dive into specific topics and ideas. These interactive sessions will happen on Friday, August 25 and Saturday, August 26.
45-minute sessions make up the bulk of the learning sessions at Converge 23. You’ll find these sessions throughout each day of the conference.

Live Translation

ICF has partnered with Wordly to make live translations in up to 25 languages available for all sessions at Converge 23. Look for QR codes to scan with your smartphone at the entrance of each session room and other signage throughout the conference space.
