Service and Donation Opportunities

By nature, coaches are change-makers, and we are inspired by our community’s passion to foster positive change throughout the world. During ICF Converge 2023, attendees will have opportunities to volunteer their time, contribute their talents, and spread their compassion throughout Orlando. For those interested in hands-on community service, ICF is excited to partner with several nonprofits on ways to support, empower, and serve as allies to the local community.

Below are our plans to date. Please check back regularly as we will update this webpage with additional community initiatives once they are finalized. Registered attendees will also receive more details via email communication in the coming weeks.

Volunteering with the Mustard Seed of Central Florida

Wednesday, August 23 | 2:30 - 4:30 p.m. (New York)

Through a service project with the Mustard Seed of Central Florida, a group of Converge 23 attendees will lend their time and energy to support those in need locally. While being environmentally responsible to the community, the Mustard Seed’s mission is to help rebuild the lives of families and individuals who have suffered disaster or personal tragedy by providing household furnishings and clothing to them.

Pro Bono Coaching

The ICF Foundation, ICF Professional Coaches, and the ICF Central Florida Chapter are hosting an on-site pro bono coaching opportunity for local nonprofit leaders. These leaders will receive coaching sessions (40 minutes) from ICF credentialed coaches to experience the benefits of coaching and to help them learn tools to lead their nonprofit more effectively. All spots to provide pro bono coaching are currently full.

LGBTQ+ Trivia Night

Thursday, August 24 | 7:30 - 9:30 p.m. (New York)

Test your LGBTQ+ knowledge during an educational trivia night to benefit Zebra Youth, a local Orlando nonprofit whose mission is to empower LGBTQ+ youth to thrive.

Zebra Youth accomplishes its mission by providing high-quality, culturally appropriate programming designed to meet the unique needs of homeless and at-risk LGBTQ+ youth. Zebra Youth is especially sensitive to the needs of Black, Hispanic, and Latinx LGBTQ+ youth.

TV celebrity and drag queen from RuPaul’s Drag Race, Jaidynn Diore Fierce, will host this evening, where you can have fun and learn with your peers while also raising funds for a local community nonprofit that supports a marginalized community. ICF will match the total dollar amount raised, and all proceeds will go to Zebra Youth.

Donate to Support Local Orlando Nonprofit Organizations

When you travel, every purchase you make generates tax revenue for a state government. That revenue may contribute to governmental policies that don't align with your values. Giving to a local charity working towards the equity goals you care about can help balance the scale.

ICF has partnered with SocialOffset to offer you the opportunity to contribute to vetted charities that support reproductive freedom, LGBTQIA+ equality, hunger relief, and racial justice in Orlando. SocialOffset will send 100% of your tax-deductible donation to your designated organization. All donations directly impact local charities and help further their mission.

We invite you to use this campaign to take meaningful action and offset any internal conflict you may have about tax spending in Orlando, FL, that doesn’t align with your values by supporting local charities that do.
