In a diverse world, ideas, concepts, and opinions will vary. Though this can lead to creativity and innovation, it can also lead to confusion and frustration, which, at times, can cause an unwanted divide. To alleviate the risk of conflict, we need to pause and listen to those who may think differently than we do. Listening to learn is a powerful tool that can help us better understand someone and their viewpoint, even if we disagree.
ICF Director of DEIB LaKisha C. Brooks and Aikyna Finch, PCC, will host a moderated discussion with participants on understanding perceptions and navigating conflicts.
This is an important opportunity for ICF and coaches to use our unique collective power to ideate more ways to support underrepresented, underserved, and marginalized communities through various forms of allyship.
Participants will all have an opportunity to share their viewpoints in a safe space.
Learning Objectives:
Listen to all voices, opinions, and viewpoints to promote an inclusive coaching community.
Learn ways to be a better ally or a new way of thinking.
