Core Competency: 0.75 Resource Development: 0.75
We will start the session with a brief discussion of the ICF definition of coaching supervision and how it aligns with the ICF Core Competency 2: Embodies a Coaching Mindset. We will then distinguish the reflective practice of supervision from mentor coaching and other developmental practices. While exploring the differences between individual and group supervision, you will engage in an exercise following the Seven-Eyed Model (Peter Hawkins and Robin Shohet), the most well-known supervision model. You will also join small groups facilitated by trained supervisors to experience group supervision, sharing what you learned during the individual reflective practice. We will wrap up the session by inviting you to share your key learning from the session.
You will be encouraged to embrace “yourself as an instrument" insights from the "whole" body experience to embody the learning so it can inform and enhance your coaching practice.
