We will begin by laying the groundwork for a deep reflection on our purpose as coaches, and what the power and relevance of coaching is. This reflection will invite you to look at your current professional practice and how you impact not only your clients, but also the different spaces in which you participate. We will also explore the implications of our work as a learning process, and how we impact the educational and social spheres, recognizing the possibility that the coach must transform both.
We will then discuss possible futures and the capacity we have as human beings to analyze trends, project possible scenarios, and act to create a different future (beyond simply resisting it or going with the flow). In this context, you will participate in an interactive activity to imagine different future scenarios based on traditional education versus coaching-based education, and learning based on understanding and memory versus learning through conversations.
As a result, four different future scenarios will be identified from which we will delve into the impact that coaching has on them, and on building self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-respect (a key element for education and life in society). Finally, you will be invited to propose what actions we can carry out from coaching to have an impact in different educational and social fields.
Learning Objectives:
Identify ways to positively influence the contexts in which you live (especially in the field of education and social change) through coaching.
Recognize the capacity you have to decide and create your future.
Highlight the main principles to promote the development of self-esteem, self-confidence, and self-respect as coaches.
